Our Vision:
Inspired by the non-dual understanding, Simply Happy is a place to connect with friends, experience together and express the Unity of Being.
At the core of all religions and spiritual traditions lies a universal message: there is no “other”. We are all made of the same Love, united beyond the illusion of separation. When truly experienced, this fundamental reality becomes an infinite source of joy and happiness.
In our modern world, we are often so focused on external concerns that we lose touch with our inner essence – simple love, peace, and joy
Nestled in the soft, verdant mountains of Northern Portugal, Simply Happy provides an environment of natural beauty and community to facilitate reconnection with our core being and its loving expression.
Our Space:
Still a work in process, Simply Happy is an old stone village, partly renovated, with bungalows surrounding a beautiful swimming pool, overlooking the breathtaking Peneda-Gerês National Park.
It provides both a communal gathering space for friends and the freedom to explore nature alone or with others. Whether you prefer quiet contemplation in your own cabin or moments of shared connection, Simply Happy provides a setting for both.
When enough visitors are present, our restaurant serves a simple organic vegetarian menu. At other times, guests can use a shared kitchen to prepare their own meals.
Our Community:
While we embrace a strong communal spirit, Simply Happy is not intended to be a permanent residential community. Visitors are welcome for stays ranging from 5 days to 3 months.
At the same time, we value long-term connections and envision Simply Happy as the heart of a broader regional network – a place for gatherings, shared activities, and the simple joy of being together.
We warmly support any friends who feel drawn to settle nearby. To facilitate connection, we are also developing an app that will help friends stay in touch and enjoy the village.
